Traci Beck, MD, FPMRS

Board Member

Traci P. Beck, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a graduate of Stanford University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Beck obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed a urology residency at the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. Upon completion of her urology residency, Dr. Beck furthered her urologic training by completing a Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Cedar-Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles, California.

Currently Dr. Beck is the Director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Cook County Health, and she holds a Staff position at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Beck enjoys her teaching responsibilities of the residents from Rush University Medical Center, Northwestern University, and the Urology Residents at Cook County Hospital.

Dr. Beck has dedicated her career to caring for underserved and marginalized communities, including transgender patients, for over 20 years. She serves transgender patients from Cook County’s CORE Center and Howard Brown Health and is an active participant in the LGBTQ health initiatives supported by Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital.

Dr. Beck serves on the executive board of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, is a former executive board member of Howard Brown Health, and serves on the Vestry of SPR Episcopal Church. She is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH); Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU); National Medical Association (NMA), and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA). In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and cooking with her spouse and their two dogs, Bella and Monti, and fishing.
